CNG Fuels develops, owns, and operates CNG refuelling infrastructure and sources 100% Renewable Biomethane (aka Bio-CNG) for its stations.

Bio-Compressed Natural Gas (Bio-CNG) is a sustainable and renewable gas that has been produced from food, animal and water waste and is 100% renewable. It is not the same as natural gas that is used in homes and businesses.

 

• HGVs currently account for 18% of all vehicle emissions in the UK.

• Using Bio-CNG reduces a vehicle’s carbon dioxide (CO2) equivalent emissions by as much as 90%, nitrogen dioxide (NO2) emissions by up to 75% and noise by around 50% compared to a diesel vehicle.

• Bio-CNG can also be up to 40% cheaper than diesel, helping to reduce transport costs to business and ultimately the consumer.

 

We have a strong growing presence with fourteen operational stations across the UK and several more in various stages of construction and planning. CNG Fuels is the UK's largest operator of Bio-CNG fuel stations and the largest supplier of Bio-CNG to the transport sector in Europe.
